The introduction of “hour-to-hour” delivery services in the United Kingdom.

AliExpress introduced “hour-to-hour” take-out services in Great London, England. Through AliExpress, users can order commodities such as snacks, beverages, kitchen cooking and daily supplies, using the homepage “Hourly Delivery” logo, and enjoy rapid distribution services that arrive on the day or even within an hour. The service is distributed by Hungry Panda, a British local outlet, with the first commodities, such as Coke, noodles, paper towels, etc.

Hungry Panda, a fast-growing groceries and distribution service provider, was the first to launch its product series on AliExpress. Currently, the platform provides a selection of essential daily necessities, drinks, snacks and cabinets, including Coca-Cola, noodles and toilet paper, as well as an hourly distribution service. This new service highlights the ambition of AliExpress to become a one-stop shopping platform for local consumers, aimed at providing more value, choice and speed of distribution for daily needs.

Since 2024, AliExpress has been promoting local distribution in the United Kingdom by establishing local warehouses and performance centres and introducing the “Local+” distribution channel to support service delivery, free distribution and return within seven days. The introduction of the hour-to-hour service further strengthened its localized supply chain in the United Kingdom, aimed at meeting the growing consumer demand for rapid distribution. AliExpress also provides a platform for local suppliers in the United Kingdom to provide simplified check-in processes and discount commissions to enhance local product supply. The UK Managing Director of AliExpress said: “This is an expression of our commitment to upgrading services for consumers and our mission to support local enterprises.” All products marked “Local+” are shipped from local warehouses, with the aim of providing consumers with a more familiar and convenient shopping experience. Local distribution orders have increased significantly over the past year, with the best-selling commodities such as bicycles, consumer electronics, portable power stations and electric tools.

The service currently covers the Greater London area and is planned to be extended to other British cities in 2025 to respond to competition in the rapid distribution market. Hungry Panda, as the first co-contributor, used his experience in the area of food and daily distribution to support Ali Express ‘ s rapid access to the local British outlet. AliExpress’ hour-to-hour service, in partnership with Hungry Panda, is expected to take its place in the rapid distribution market in the United Kingdom, combining its global electrician experience with its localization strategy. However, the highly competitive British export market may require it to further optimize distribution efficiency and commodity diversification.
